Stovepipe Wells RV Park
Full Hookups Available Only campground in park with hookups. General store, restaurant, and pool nearby. Perfect basecamp for exploring northern areas of park.
Panamint Springs Resort
Outside Park • Full Service Full hookups, restaurant, and fuel. Western gateway to park. Great for visiting Panamint Dunes and Darwin Falls. Higher elevation means cooler temps.
Best Time to Visit
Winter (Dec-Feb)
65-75°F Days Perfect hiking weather. Cool nights, pleasant days. Occasional rare snow at higher elevations. Peak visitor season.
Spring (Mar-May)
80-100°F Days Wildflower blooms possible after wet winters. Getting warm but still manageable. Book accommodations early.
Fall (Oct-Nov)
85-95°F Days Hot but tolerable. Less crowded than winter/spring. Good for photography with clear skies.
Summer (Jun-Sep)
110-125°F Days Extreme heat. Dangerous for hiking. RV AC essential. Visit early morning/late evening only.
